HCLFoundation, under the My Clean City program, today inaugurated a biogas plant installed at Shri Krishna Maa Jalpa Bhavani Gaushala in Sector 15A, Noida. Earlier, HCLFoundation had installed a similar biogas plant at the Shree Ji Gausadan Gaushala in Sector 94A.

The biogas plant at Shri Krishna Maa Jalpa Bhavani Gaushala is a Sistema 200 biodigester and will transform organic waste into renewable biogas and potent organic fertilizer. This plant will help mitigate greenhouse gas emissions in the 250-305 tons of CO2 range per year.

Mr. Alok Varma (Project Director – Samuday & My Clean City, HCLFoundation), Dr. Vipin Agarwal (Chief Veterinary Officer, Gautam Buddh Nagar), and Mr. Rajiv Lochan (President, Shri Krishna Maa Jalpa Bhavani gaushala) inaugurated the biogas plant. Mr. Gopal Sharma (Sanitary Inspector, Noida Authority) and Mr. Prashant Khanna (Lead Strategies Partner, Sistema Bio) and various team members of HCLFoundation attended the event.
