Vatican Marks 60 Years of Nostra Aetate With Global Anthem Promoting Unity and Peace

VATICAN CITY, Dec 02:  A historic and deeply moving celebration unfolded at the Vatican’s Paul VI Hall as the 60th Anniversary of Nostra Aetate, the Church’s landmark declaration on interreligious relations, was honored with renewed spiritual energy.

Central to this commemoration was “We Are The New World (Keep Doing Good)” a global anthem of unity and compassion conceptualized by Dr. Sanjaanaa Jon, Global Cultural Diplomacy Ambassador and Founder of PACT, the H2O Movement, and Give Life Foundation.

Guided by His Eminence Cardinal George Koovakad, Head of the Interreligious Dicastery and visionary architect of the anniversary event, the Vatican reaffirmed its dedication to dialogue, fraternity, and peace echoing Pope Leo XIV’s call for humanity to “live together in unity, friendship, and cooperation.”

A profound highlight was the participation of Aushim Khetarpal, Founder of the Sai Baba Peace Awards, representing the Shirdi Sai Baba Foundation’s message of interfaith harmony and service. Standing beside global changemakers, he reflected the essence of inner transformation, sharing, “When I can change, then you can change; when you can change, the world will change.”

The anthem united powerful creative voices Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, Vijay Yesudas, Dr. Stephen Devassy, and international artist Iulia Vântur. Their stirring performance, joined by children’s voices from across the world, transformed the hall into a living prayer for unity and hope.

Following the performance, Pope Leo XIV blessed the delegation, receiving the symbolic Lamp of Light from Dr. Jon.
