Delhi, February 2025 – ITM Vocational University, Vadodara, continues its commitment to fostering awareness and education by successfully organizing two significant events: an Energy Conservation Awareness Workshop in collaboration with GEDA and a No Drugs Awareness Short Film Competition in association with Brahma Kumaris Atladara, SOG Vadodara City, and Shining Star Performing Arts.
In association with the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Anandi Associates – Ahmedabad, ITM Vocational University hosted a Theory cum Practical Energy Conservation Awareness Workshop on January 22, 2025. The session was led by Mr. Jitendra Vyas, an ISO Certified Energy Auditor with over 38 years of experience specializing in HVAC, Utilities, and quality management standards. The event aimed to educate participants on energy conservation methods and sustainable practices.
A total of 38 students and 27 faculty members benefited from the workshop, gaining valuable insights into energy efficiency. The event was efficiently organized by Mr. Mayur Chavda and Ms. Apexa Purohit, ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees.
To combat the growing menace of drug abuse, ITM Vocational University, in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris Atladara, SOG Vadodara City, and Shining Star Performing Arts, organized a “No Drugs” Awareness Short Film Competition on January 19, 2025, at Brahmakumaris, Atladara, Vadodara. This event aimed to highlight the dangers of substance abuse and encourage students to pledge a drug-free lifestyle.

The competition was graced by esteemed guests, including Shri Narasimha Komar ji, Police Commissioner of Vadodara, and Dr. Shivlal Goyal, Director of Kutch Chemical Industries. The event was also attended by B.K. Dr. Arunaben, Director of Brahmakumaris Atladara, and Dr. Anil M. Bisen, Vice Chancellor of ITM Vocational University.
A total of 264 students from different states of India participated in the short film competition, forming 42 teams. The initial screening round was held on January 16, 2025, at ITM Vocational University, where a panel of three jury members shortlisted 10 finalists. The final results were announced on January 19, 2025, at Brahmakumaris, Atladara, in the presence of Dr. Aruna Didi. To recognize outstanding efforts, cash prizes were awarded to the top three teams. The first prize winner received ₹51,000, the second prize winner received ₹31,000, and the third prize winner received ₹11,000.
This initiative is part of ITM Vocational University’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness about critical societal issues. The university has previously organized similar programs, including an event on cyber security, acknowledging its importance in today’s digital age. Through these impactful initiatives, ITM Vocational University continues to empower students with essential knowledge and awareness, contributing to a safer and more responsible society.
