[Delhi, 25th Oct, 2024]: As India’s festive season drives a surge in online commerce, Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands are experiencing a significant increase in sales. This year, Dussehra sales alone saw a 64% growth in customer orders on D2C platforms compared to the previous year. Average order value (AOV) for D2C brands jumped 11 per cent year on year, from ₹1,368 to ₹1,869. AOV surge is contributed by categories like Jewellery, Electronics and Apparels. Tier one cities contributed most to AOV surge, with 96 per cent growth compared to last year. States like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Tamil Nadu had the highest order volume surges.
