Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, December 10, 2023 — Noida International University marked the 39th SAARC Charter Day with a vibrant celebration that brought together students, faculty, and dignitaries in a showcase of cultural diversity and collaboration.
Under the auspices of the Cultural Committee, in collaboration with AGNI Club, VAAYU Club, and PRITHVI Club, the event took place at the Seminar Hall on the university campus from 2:00 pm onwards.
The festivities commence with the traditional lighting of the diya, symbolizing unity among the SAARC nations. Our honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof.(Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Prasanjeet Kumar, and Registrar Dr. Mukesh Parashar emphasized the vital role of regional cooperation and education in fostering global understanding.
The celebration featured a mesmerizing qawwali performance, traditional dances, and a captivating fashion show where students showcased the diverse cultural heritage of the SAARC member countries. This visual feast is aimed at promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation among attendees.
The event served as a platform for meaningful discussions about potential collaborations in education, research, and cultural exchange, aligning with the principles of the SAARC charter.
