Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC Celebrates Durga Pujo with a Specially Curated Bengali Food Festival

Hyderabad, 12 October 2026:  Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC celebrates culture and food this festive season. During the Durga Pujo guests can experience the rich, distinctive flavours of Bengal in the Nizami city.

Staying true to its commitment to showcasing diverse regional cuisines, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC brings authentic Bengali flavours and culinary traditions to Hyderabad. Timed with Durga Puja, Bengal’s most cherished celebration, the festival captures the joy, community and nostalgia of the season through a specially curated spread that celebrates the warmth and richness of Bengali food culture.

To add a truly authentic touch to the festive season, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC has thoughtfully brought on board Bengali home chef Ushri Guruji of Ushri HomeChef, known for her focus on authentic Bengali cuisine and time-honoured culinary traditions. Born and brought up in Kolkata, Ushri has built a following through her regional food menus, supper clubs and pop-ups. Her culinary journey reflects a deep-rooted passion for regional Indian cuisine and a commitment to preserving the distinctive flavours, nostalgia and traditions of Bengali home cooking, which she now brings to the dining tables of Hyderabad.

Guests can experience the festival in two distinct formats across the hotel's dining venues. Food Exchange will host a Bengali-themed dinner buffet along with a Bengali Thali, featuring a selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian starters and main courses, alongside a live counter, offering diners a varied introduction to the region's culinary repertoire. At Permit To Grill (PTG), guests can enjoy specially curated Bengali vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis, bringing together the comforting flavours and traditional preparations associated with Bengali dining. The festival is designed to offer both a leisurely buffet experience and a more traditional, thoughtfully assembled thali.

The spread will feature Bengali favourites such as Chingri Narkol Tikki, Gandhoraj Chicken Fry, Bhetki Paturi, Daab Chingri and Mutton Kosha, alongside traditional accompaniments including Basanti Pulao and Cholar Dal. The experience will conclude on a sweet note with Bengali classics such as Payesh, Sandesh and Rasogolla, celebrating the region’s distinctive culinary traditions.

Through initiatives such as these, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC continues to champion culinary exploration by bringing regional food traditions and distinctive dining concepts to Hyderabad. From celebrating the cuisines of different Indian states to introducing guests to flavours from across the world, the hotel remains committed to creating immersive dining experiences that go beyond the everyday, connecting people with the stories, ingredients and traditions that make each cuisine unique.
