Lucknow, June 8 : DEVI Sansthan , a 33 year old not-for-profit organisation working in the field of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy , is set to be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange’s Social Stock Exchange and the public issue is scheduled to open on the 29th of June, 2026. The development marks a significant step in expanding the organisation’s mission of improving learning outcomes through transparent and impact-aligned funding.
The SSE listing will support DEVI Sansthan in scaling its literacy and numeracy interventions across schools, underserved communities, and learning ecosystems in Ranchi district. Through its innovative ALfA methodology, the organisation focuses on enabling school students to acquire foundational reading, writing, and arithmetic skills through accelerated, peer-learning-based models.
Founded in 1992 by noted educationist Dr. Sunita Gandhi, DEVI Sansthan has been actively working with governments, educators, schools, and social-impact ecosystems to implement FLN-focused programmes, teacher training initiatives, learning assessments, and community learning models designed to improve educational accessibility and learning efficiency.
The organisation’s work spans across foundational learning interventions, educator capacity-building programmes, learning outcome assessments, and large-scale literacy campaigns aimed at helping children, youth, and adults overcome learning gaps in a significantly shorter time frame.
Dr Sunita Gandhi, Former World Bank economist is the founder of DEVI Sansthan. She is also the Chief Academic Advisor of City Montessori School, the World’s largest school. DEVI Sansthan continues to collaborate with public and private stakeholders to strengthen foundational education systems and create sustainable learning models at scale.
