Innovation in Investment: Insights from Anooshka Soham Bathwal, Dhanvesttor’s Visionary Leader By Anooshka Soham Bathwal Founder and CEO of Dhanvesttor
Q: Can you tell us about your journey into the world of finance and what led you to start Dhanvesttor?
A: My journey into finance began with my education at the London School of Economics, where I pursued multiple master’s degrees in Accounting & Finance and Global Management. Despite my academic background, I often found financial discussions in traditional settings intimidating, especially as a woman in a male-dominated industry. That experience made me realize the gap in financial literacy and confidence among women, leading me to create Dhanvesttor—a platform dedicated to making wealth management accessible, inclusive, and empowering for women.
Q: What is Dhanvesttor’s core mission, and how does it stand out in the finance space?
A: Dhanvesttor is built on the foundation of financial empowerment for women. Our mission is to help women take control of their financial futures by providing them with the right knowledge, tools, and confidence to invest wisely. What sets us apart is our approach—we create a non-intimidating, supportive space where women can ask questions, learn, and grow without fear of judgment.
Q: What are some of the biggest financial challenges women face today, and how does Dhanvesttor help overcome them?
A: One of the biggest challenges is the lack of confidence in making financial decisions. Many women, despite being financially independent, hesitate to invest or plan for long-term wealth generation. This stems from traditional societal roles and a lack of exposure to financial education. At Dhanvesttor, we address this by simplifying financial concepts, offering tailored investment strategies, and creating a community where women can support and learn from each other.
Q: What has been a defining milestone for you and Dhanvesttor?
A: One major milestone was the launch of our dedicated office space. It represents the tangible growth of our vision—a place where women can walk in, discuss their financial goals, and feel empowered. Another key achievement is the increasing number of women who have successfully taken charge of their financial planning through our platform. Seeing their transformation is truly rewarding.
Q: As a leader, what values do you prioritize in your work?
A: I believe in inclusivity, transparency, and empowerment. Finance should not be an exclusive club—it should be accessible to everyone, regardless of background or prior knowledge. At Dhanvesttor, we make sure our services reflect these values by being approachable and education-driven.
Q: What is your vision for the future of women in finance?
A: I envision a world where women are as confident in investing as they are in other aspects of life. Finance should not feel like a foreign language. My goal with Dhanvesttor is to create a ripple effect—where more women take charge of their finances, inspire others, and contribute to closing the gender wealth gap.
Q: What advice would you give to women who want to start investing but feel overwhelmed?
A: Start small, but start now. The biggest mistake is waiting for the ‘perfect time.’ Educate yourself, seek guidance, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Investing isn’t about taking huge risks—it’s about making informed choices that align with your goals. Financial independence is a powerful tool, and every woman deserves to wield it.
