Sanctoria, Asansol, Sept 15: As part of Rajbhasha (Hindi) Month 2026, a Hindi Diwas celebration along with a Hindi-Bengali Poetry Recital was organised today at the Sankalp Hall of Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) Headquarters. The programme was chaired by Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha, Director (Human Resources), ECL, and was attended by senior officials, executives, employees and other dignitaries of the company.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha described Hindi as a powerful language that connects people across diverse social and administrative settings. He encouraged the officers and employees of ECL to promote the use of Hindi in their day-to-day official work and communication. Emphasising the role of technology in facilitating the effective use of Rajbhasha Hindi, he highlighted the need for the judicious adoption of modern technological tools to enhance the efficiency, quality and effectiveness of routine official work.
The celebration was further enriched by a Hindi-Bengali Poetry Recital, which brought together the literary and cultural richness of the two languages. Through evocative poetic expressions in Hindi and Bengali, the programme offered a glimpse into their vibrant literary traditions, cultural affinity and shared emotional landscape.
The participating poets presented verses exploring diverse themes including nature, human experiences, love, compassion, hope, struggles of life and social concerns.
