Eazzy Expands Beyond Home Repairs with Recommerce & Buyback Programme

BusinessK Puspa24 Aug 2026

Gurugram, Aug 24: Eazzy, a technology-enabled home services company based in Gurugram, is expanding its offering beyond repair and maintenance with the launch of its Recommerce & Buyback programme. The new initiative enables households to sell old appliances, electronics and mobile phones, helping them unlock value from products they are ready to replace while giving eligible products a chance at a second life.

As consumers upgrade everything from smartphones and laptops to refrigerators and washing machines, the old product often becomes an afterthought. Selling it can mean finding a buyer, negotiating a price, arranging pickup and figuring out whether the effort is worth it. Eazzy is bringing these steps together into a simpler experience through valuation, buyback and collection. The programme is designed to make the transition from old to new more seamless, while ensuring that products with remaining usable life do not simply end up discarded.

According to available estimates, India generated 6.2 million tonnes of e-waste in FY24 and the figure is expected to more than double to 14 million tonnes by 2030. Yet the country’s formal recycling infrastructure can currently process only about 2 million tonnes. As a result, barely one in 10 discarded electronic items is estimated to enter a formal and accountable recycling stream

From Repairing Products to Helping Them Move On

The Recommerce & Buyback programme builds on Eazzy’s existing home services business, where the company helps households repair, maintain and extend the life of everyday appliances and electronics.

With recommerce, Eazzy is now extending that relationship to the next stage of the product lifecycle when a household is ready to upgrade.

For mobile phones, the process is designed to be even simpler. Customers can enter their device details and receive an instant buyback price. For larger appliances and electronics, Eazzy facilitates valuation and collection, reducing the friction involved in selling bulky or older products.

The opportunity extends beyond simply putting a price on an old product. A refrigerator that no longer works for one family may still be useful to another. A smartphone being upgraded may have plenty of life left in it. By evaluating and redirecting eligible products, Eazzy aims to keep products in use for longer while helping reduce unnecessary e-waste.

We started Eazzy with a simple belief that Indian homes deserve a better experience,” said Saurabh Luthra, Co-Founder & CEO, Eazzy. We began by helping people fix and maintain what they already own. Buyback is the natural next step. When a product has done its job for you and it is time to move on, we want to make that transition simple and hassle-free, giving customers value while giving the product a chance to live on.

“While buying a new product is exciting, figuring out what to do with the old one can often be a hassle. We saw an opportunity to simplify that part of the journey. Our AI-powered buyback platform helps customers quickly understand the value of their existing products and makes upgrading more convenient, without the usual effort involved in selling them,” said Bhavesh Kataria, Product Head, Eazzy.

The launch expands Eazzy’s role across the home product lifecycle from service and maintenance to upgrade and resale. It also advances the company’s broader vision of creating a simpler, smarter and more sustainable way for households to manage the products they use every day.
