Danfoss India Empowers India’s Premier IIM Campuses with Cutting-Edge Variable Frequency Drives
March 15, Chennai: Danfoss India, a global leader in sustainable and energy-efficient solutions, continues its commitment to bolstering India’s educational infrastructure. Following the recent inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of the permanent campuses of Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) in Bodh Gaya and Vishakhapatnam, Danfoss India proudly announces their contribution to these landmark projects. The Global Energy Efficient player is furthering their cause towards a sustainable India by the installation of their cutting-edge Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) at the respective prestigious educational institutions.
By installing their energy-efficient technologies at the respective premier campuses, Danfoss is facilitating Energy efficiency, Greater machine productivity, Reduced emissions, Lower energy consumption, Empowering electrification, and supporting sustainable growth Danfoss’ technologies contribute to the decarbonization of the economy, ensuring reliable and sustainable energy for everyone on the planet
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) were strategically deployed in essential systems like air handling units, water pumps, and cooling towers. These drives dynamically adjust motor speed based on changing load demands, effectively optimizing energy usage and operational performance.
Danfoss offers special valves called Pressure Independent Balancing and Control Valves (PIBCVs) that help make heating and cooling systems work better. These valves make sure the temperature stays just right in buildings by controlling how much hot or cold water flows through the system. They do this without needing constant adjustments and help save energy by making sure the system only uses what it needs. With Danfoss PIBCVs, buildings can stay comfortable while saving energy and money.
Mr Ravichandran Purushothaman, President, of Danfoss India, said, “Danfoss India is proud to partner with esteemed institutions like IIM Bodh Gaya and Vishakhapatnam, contributing to the advancement of India’s educational infrastructure with our cutting-edge technologies. By installing our Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Pressure Independent Balancing and Control Valves (PIBCVs), we aim to enhance energy efficiency, productivity, and comfort while reducing emissions and energy consumption. Through our comprehensive solutions and tailored designs, we ensure that the unique needs of each institution are met, while also complying with industry regulations. Our commitment to sustainability drives us to continuously innovate and provide solutions that support India’s journey towards a greener and more sustainable future.”
The comprehensive solutions were implemented following a thorough site assessment, which aimed to identify critical applications, evaluate power quality concerns, and strategically position VFDs and PIBCVs in the premium campuses. In alignment with the site assessment results, a tailored solution design was crafted to meet the unique needs of IIM, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
