Mumbai, India -10th Feb 2025– BorderPlus, a new-age cross-border workforce mobility platform, has raised ₹60 crore ($7Mn) in funding round led by Owl Ventures, and participation from prominent entrepreneurs including Binny Bansal, Mithun Sacheti, Ritesh Agarwal, Aakash Chaudhary, and Apoorva Patni.

This marks BorderPlus’ first institutional (external) funding round, fuelling its mission to streamline international career opportunities for skilled Indian workers, starting with healthcare professionals and nurses.

The company has already begun training its first batches of nurses, preparing them for global placements with a comprehensive approach that includes language training, visa processing, job placements, cultural integration, and financial support.

With a strong government push to promote skilled worker mobility and the global healthcare sector facing acute workforce shortages, numerous countries are actively seeking Indian professionals, especially within healthcare and nursing. This presents a massive opportunity for Indian Talent amid global workforce demand, and BorderPlus aims to be the bridge that opportunity.

“The global workforce landscape is evolving, especially with demographic trends such as aging populations. The tiered skilling and mobility approach that BorderPlus brings to the table, is solving for a critical need. BorderPlus’ ability to integrate technology with end-to-end workforce mobility solutions is revolutionary. We are excited to partner with Mayank and Ayush as they build a category- defining company in this space,” said Amit A. Patel, Managing Director at Owl Ventures.

“We are committed to unlocking cross-border employment opportunities and this fundraise will support us in enhancing our platform capabilities, strengthening partnerships, expanding our reach, and making international workforce mobility seamless and accessible. We are building a long- term business and making sound choices to build a capital-efficient and outcome-driven company,” said Mayank and Ayush, Co-Founders of BorderPlus, in a joint statement. “The demand for Indian talent and aspirations have never been stronger, and sectors internationally see India as a prime talent spot. This is the right springboard for us to build on our momentum by enabling the large youth population of India to look at securing successful career opportunities globally.”
