Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt and Jaypore brought Indian craft to the forefront this summer

At the heart of the collaboration were interactive block printing workshops hosted within the vibrant space of Andaz Delhi. Led under expert guidance, the sessions offered guests an opportunity to explore one of India’s most enduring craft traditions while gaining insight into the techniques, artistry, and stories that have shaped it across generations. Designed to be both engaging and hands-on, the workshops encouraged guests to slow down, create with intention, and experience the joy of making something uniquely their own.

Held throughout the month of June, the collaboration invited guests and patrons to engage with India’s rich artistic traditions in a setting shaped by local stories, expressive design, and meaningful experiences. United by a shared commitment to celebrating Indian creativity and cultural narratives, Andaz Delhi and Jaypore created a natural intersection of hospitality, design, and craftsmanship.

The collaboration aligned with Andaz Delhi’s continued commitment to creating experiences that go beyond traditional hospitality. Known for its locally inspired storytelling, expressive design language, and vibrant social spaces, the hotel served as a fitting setting for a partnership that celebrated Indian artistry in a way that felt personal, relevant, and immersive.

Speaking about the collaboration, Mr. Hardip Marwah, Cluster General Manager, Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt and Hyatt Delhi Residences, said,

“At Andaz Delhi, we believe hospitality is most meaningful when it creates a genuine connection with the culture and community around us. Our collaboration with Jaypore celebrates India’s enduring craft traditions while inviting guests to experience them in a way that is personal, interactive, and contemporary. It is an opportunity to engage with creativity, discover the stories behind the craft, and take home memories that are deeply rooted in the spirit of the destination.”

Reflecting on the collaboration, Vandana Gupta, Creative Head, Jaypore, said,

"Craft isn't just about what we create, it's about the stories, traditions, and human connections that live within every piece. At Jaypore, our design journey has always been about celebrating India's diverse craft communities and bringing their artistry into contemporary living. Partnering with Andaz Delhi was a wonderful opportunity to invite guests into this world to experience the process, connect with the craft through the hands of artisans, and truly understand the thought and patience behind every creation. We hope this inspires guests with a renewed appreciation for the beauty of handmade traditions and the stories they carry forward."

The collaboration between Andaz Delhi, by Hyatt and Jaypore was envisioned as an opportunity to move beyond experiencing craft visually and to create a bridge between craftsmanship and hospitality, bringing guests closer to the process, people, and stories behind Indian handmade traditions.

Held on 20th and 21st June, the workshops were led by Jaypore’s master artisan Naseem Ahamad, followed by master artisan Jilajeet, who conducted the sessions on 27th and 28th June. Both artisans had been associated with Jaypore for over seven years and had contributed their expertise to many of the brand’s bestselling styles.

The collaboration also showcased Jaypore’s home gifting collection, offering guests a glimpse into the brand’s thoughtfully curated world of handcrafted living. The experience extended into Father’s Day celebrations, with every father visiting Andaz Delhi receiving a handcrafted giveaway as a gesture of appreciation.

While handcrafted products allowed guests to appreciate the beauty of a craft, experiencing the process firsthand created a deeper connection with its heritage. Through this initiative, guests were invited to create their own stories while developing a greater appreciation for the skill, patience, and artistry behind every handcrafted piece.

Through this collaboration, Jaypore and Andaz Delhi created an experience where craft became more than an art form; it became a way to connect, create, and celebrate India’s rich creative legacy through the lens of luxury hospitality.
