New Delhi, 9th July 2024 – Niyamat Mehta, a renowned sculptor, captivated art lovers and dignitaries at the International Asia Cup Polo 2024, held at Clover Polo Club in Windsor from June 28th to June 30th. Her stunning sculptures, showcased in collaboration with Red8 Gallery, brought a profound artistic touch to the event.
The exhibition’s opening day was a tremendous success, attracting a star-studded crowd of well-known figures from numerous industries. The attendees included celebrated fashion designers Paul Smith and Stuart Trevor, the former founder and owner of All Saints. Jay Soneji, a well recognised lawyer, and renowned interior designer Noor Charchafchi were present. Esteemed sculptor Steve Winterburn and Joe Steen, Niyamat’s representative and well-known art dealer, also attended the occasion.
The exhibition, sponsored by renowned jewellery brand Cartier and a prestigious Champagne firm, featured Niyamat’s work among masterpieces by iconic artists such Banksy, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Keith Haring. This cooperation was made possible by Red8 Gallery, which is directed by Julian Usher.
The event’s highlight was the captivating Sunday Finals on June 30th, an action-packed day graced by the Royal Patronage of the Jaipur Royal family, who are known for their great polo tradition in both England and India. Guests enjoyed the regal ambience of the celebration, which was enhanced by Niyamat’s sculptures, which are known for their precise craftsmanship and emotional depth.
The International Asia Cup Polo International Day, a specifically selected Access Event by ASMALLWORLD, brought together art, culture, and legacy, providing attendees with privileged conditions and an exclusive experience. Niyamat Mehta’s participation constituted a watershed moment in her artistic career, honouring the rich legacy and timeless elegance of polo against the magnificent setting of Winkfield Park.
