Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, hosted its flagship cultural and talent showcase event, Mercato 2024 – The Fiesta, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 8:30 AM onwards. The event witnessed overwhelming participation from more than 700 students across the nation, particularly from the Delhi-NCR region, cementing its reputation as a hub for creativity, talent, and cultural exchange.

 The day began with an inspiring Inaugural Ceremony, graced by prominent dignitaries, including Dr. Pradyumna Pandey, Manufacturing HR Head, Hero MotoCorp, Mr. Neeraj Mehra, VP HR-APAC ME & UK, Infogain, and Mr. Saurabh Mishra, Talent Acquisition Manager, Sopra Banking Software. Their addresses underscored the importance of events like Mercato in fostering a spirit of camaraderie, innovation, and holistic development among students. Prof. (Dr.) Daviender Narang, Director, JIM, Shri Harish Sanduja, Director Schools and IT, Jaipuria Group, and CA Bikram Agarwal, CFO, Jaipuria Group.

 The inaugural session was marked by a symbolic pigeon release, signifying peace and unity, and a vibrant balloon launch, adding a festive touch to the commencement of Mercato 2024. These gestures set the tone for a day filled with joy, creativity, and celebration.

 Delivering the address to the students, Dr. Pradymma Pandey said, “It’s important to have clear goals in life. Work towards your targets and strive towards reaching the destination you have chosen.” Building up on this, Saurabh Mishra told the students, “Whatever you do, do with complete honesty. Be true to your values.”

 With over 10 electrifying competitions and performances, Mercato 2024 offered a 360-degree experience. Students displayed their creativity and competitive spirit through a diverse range of activities, including Nukkad Natak, Business Plan Competition, Poster Making, Fashion Show, Dance Competition, Battle of Bands, Baby Show, Startup Fair, Singing Competition, and Instrument Playing. Each event showcased the talent and enthusiasm of the participants, making it a day to remember.

 The event also witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 200 distinguished alumni of Jaipuria Institute of Management, who returned to their alma mater to celebrate the vibrant spirit of Mercato 2024. Their presence added a special dimension to the event, fostering a sense of pride and nostalgia as they engaged with current students and faculty. Their involvement exemplified the enduring bond between Jaipuria and its alumni community, making the day even more memorable.

 A major highlight of the day was the special live performance by Mohd. Danish, the renowned singer and Indian Idol fame, who captivated the audience with his electrifying voice. The performance was a fitting finale to a day filled with energy, excitement, and creative expression.
