Nrityanjali Performing Arts showcased its annual dance event ‘Nritya Varsha’ on the occasion of celebrating 20 years
Nrityanjali Performing Arts, the brainchild of eminent Bharatnatyam dancers Apeksha Niranjan and Mitali Hasabnis, has been a beacon for fostering and supporting the art of classical dance while making a room for next generation dancers for the past two decades.
Recently the talented students of Nrityanjali Performing Arts performed a scintillating Bharatnatyam recital for the institute’s 20th Annual Dance Event, ‘Nritya Varsha,’ at the Marathi Sahitya Mandir, Vashi Sector – 6, Navi Mumbai.
This year, the founder, Apeksha Niranjan, added glory to the celebrations with her dynamic theme-driven performance titled Narishakti—The Hidden Power of Women.’ Narishakti, a powerful spectacle honoured the female strength and encouraged women to embrace their inner power. “We worship Goddess Durga. A woman is the manifestation of Goddess but is she safe in this world? Is she aware of her power? It’s time to wake up.” With the focus on women’s divine strength and concerns over safety and empowerment of women in today’s world, the recital was a testament to unforgettable memory on stage.
Conceptualisation, choreography, and presentation by Niranjan herself, art and dance enthusiasts experienced the grand amalgamation of beauty, grace, and power of Bharatnatyam through the eyes of Nrityanjali Performing Arts.
